So where to start.
I'm going to dive into L4D2 despite my previous doubts, I thought i might aswell give the game a chance to win me over, if it does, it will go on my birthday list. However, I'm still as skeptical about it as ever. Next...
Not only that but I'm downloading the client for a old, unoticed game which i once had a dabble. It was a fantasy MMORPG, which was buggy, nobody played and had little support. However, there was somthing about this game which had a charm. The game is now completely dead, the servers are all turned off. I hear you yell "You're downloading a client and you can't connect to the servers? This is making me rage to the extent I will punch through my monitor screen!" Well, wait till you hear this, raging blog reading nerd. The client also includes an offline mode, where you test the games engine, being litterally to do anything you wanted in it.
The thing about this game is that there was so much you were able to do in it. The game world was MASSIVE and un restricting, cities forests mountain ranges. It was a REAL open world. Even more so than World of Warcraft. The Landscapes weren't all incredibly detailed upclose. But that's just the thing, real worlds arn't. I'm not saying there wasn't any detail, there was plenty but it was a real open world, no walls no nothing. A mountain int he way? You can probably climb over it, and board or glide down the other side. That's right, you can obtain boards, to go down mountains, or just jump off and glide. It's one of the best things about htis game. The Freedom, I can't explain it really, you will have to go look it up yourself and see there's so much to it (You can own and fly dragons, aswell as riding on the back of a friends if you want). The game is called Dark and Light. If you want the client, i would get it off Gamershell.com
Anyway I'm off to kill some zombies.
